Tailoring CoNi Alloy-Embedded Carbon Nanofibers by Coaxial Electrospinning for an Enhanced Oxygen Reduction Reaction

A flexible CoNi@CNF electrochemical catalyst was developed using coaxial electrostatic spinning technology. The distribution and content of CoNi alloy nanoparticles on the surface carbon fibers were adjusted by regulating feed speed ratio outer inner axes spinning. results indicate that distributed fiber increased from 26.7 wt.% to 38.4 with an increase in axis. However, excessive precipitation leads segregation internal alloy, which is unfavorable for exposure active sites during electrolytic reaction. best electrocatalytic performance composite achieved when rate axis constant (3 mm/h) 1.5 mm/h. initial oxygen reduction potential half-slope 0.99 V 0.92 (VS RHE), respectively. diffusion-limited current density 6.31 mA/cm−2 strength retention 95.2% after 20,000 s timed test.
